Early arrivals (before Tues, 9/28) $20 per day. Must be pre-arranged and based on availability with WestWorld. (must have stall reservations for the Classic)

All checks are to be made payable to the Scottsdale Classic. Payments must be in U.S. Funds. Please give advance notice of closing out so your computerized statement can be prepared.
NO REFUND AFTER CLOSEOUT.

NSF checks will not be tolerated. A $50 fee will be assesed, and must be replaced with cash, money order or cashier’s check.

Stall Reservations: Deadline September 1. No stall refunds after September 17. Must be submitted on official form. Arrival not before Tuesday, September 28. Departure no later than noon, Thursday, October 7 ­— no exceptions.


AGREEMENT: All persons entering WestWorld agree to abide by the Rules & Regulations set forth above, and also to abide by the Rules set forth in the current AQHA Handbook, and further agree to abide by any decisions, rulings or regulations issued by Show Management or the Scottsdale Classic Committee. Consent to the above is a condition of their admission.

Rules & Regulations

Stall Manager:
Located at east end of barn area, they will direct you to your stalls when you arrive and take care of any needs or requests pertaining to stabling throughout your stay.

Conditions-Approval:
The Scottsdale Classic show is approved by the American Quarter Horse Association, National Reining Horse Association, Arizona Quarter Horse and National Snaffle Bit Associations. Classes will be conducted by the current rules of these associations.

AQHA Entries:
A computer system will be used. To facilitate input of information, the Show Secretary requests that an AQHA information card be submitted prior to September 10, along with photocopy of registration certificate for each horse that you plan to show. You need not enter classes or pay fees, but the form should be completed in its entirety, including all information pertaining to the horse and all exhibitors. Be sure to give current mailing address of registered owner, amateur card number and youth birthdate. The first Reining class will be drawn the night before. Be sure to check in the day before to ensure that you will be in the draw.

NSBA & NRHA Entries:
A computer system will be used. To facilitate input of information, the Show Secretary requests that NSBA and NRHA entry forms be submitted prior to September 10. Provide a photocopy of registration certificate for each horse that you plan to show and NSBA cards for both owner and rider. NSBA futurity classes will close at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30th. NRHA exhibitors to provide current NRHA membership card for owner and rider and competition license. Forms should be completed in its entirety, including all information pertaining to the horse and all exhibitors. NRHA entries will close 5:00 p.m. the evening before the class is offered. The first Reining class will be drawn the night before. Be sure to checkin the day before to ensure that you will be in the draw.

Entries:
Complete pre-entry information will help eliminate delays in the commencement of the show. *A one time late fee of $40 will be charged for each horse for which pre-entry information is not submitted by September 10. Classes may be entered on a daily basis, but at least three classes in advance. For each new show day, entries for the first 2 classes must be in by 7 a.m. Individual work class entries must be made 3 classes in advance. No charge for scratches made in the office two classes in advance. Note: Stall reservations are to be made on separate form provided. No checks will be issued without SSN/FID number.

Registration:
All horses must have a registration certificate, a photocopy of which must be submitted with all entries. Photocopy must show owner as listed on entry form. If the certificate Numbers:
Each horse will be assigned a separate number to be worn by all exhibitors showing that horse. Numbers will not be issued until all information is complete.

Amateur & Novice Amateur Exhibitors:
Every rider competing in Amateur or Novice Amateur class must possess a current Amateur card issued by the American Quarter Horse Association. This card or a photocopy must be shown to the Show Secretary prior to competing. Novice numbers must have an “N” before it. See current AQHA Handbook for ownership requirements.

Youth & Novice Youth Exhibitors:
Must be members of the American Quarter Horse Youth Association. Memberships can be obtained in the Show Office. Membership card must be shown to Show Secretary prior to competing. (Novice number must have an “N” before it.) See current AQHA Handbook for ownership requirements for youth or novice youth membership.

AQHA ID Number Required:
All riders are required to have AQHA membership. Example: A horse is owned by Mr. and Mrs. John Doe and exhibited by both Jane Doe and John Doe. Both Jane and John must possess an individual membership with the AQHA. Membership under ‘Mr. & Mrs. John Doe’ is not valid.

Liability:
All exhibitors will be under the control and direction of the Show Management, but Scottsdale Classic, LLC or it’s officers, directors, agents or employees or the City of Scottsdale or it’s officers, directors, agents or employees will in no case be responsible for any loss, injury or damage that may occur. Each exhibitor will be solely responsible for any loss, injury or damage that may occur to him or his officers, directors, agents or employees or animals during the Scottsdale Classic. The exhibitor shall indemnify the Scottsdale Classic against any and all legal proceedings in regard to the above and against damage or injury to any other person or property, caused by the exhibitor, his officers, agents, employees or animals.

Conflicts:
Recognizing the versatility of the Quarter Horse, every reasonable attempt will be made by show management to accommodate exhibitors showing in conflicting classes. However, undue delays cannot be allowed, and the exhibitor must decide which class to enter.

Permit Holders:
Exhibitors with permits to ride horses other than your own will not be eligible for circuit or all around awards.
